Weddings
Are you planning a wedding reception right now? You are facing an enormous amount of choices. One significant decision is finding the right entertainment for your wedding reception. The range is limitless, from a single harp player, to a six-piece live band, to Joe Larson Productions, Inc. The type of entertainment you select, however, will set the tone for the entire reception. When considering these alternatives you've probably asked yourself if a disc jockey might be the best option.

A Master of Ceremonies
To make the best choice, you must first know what a D.J. can provide. You can expect the disc jockey to act as master of ceremonies: directing the cake cutting, toast, bouquet toss and all the other traditional reception activities. Beyond just making announcements, Joe Larson Productions, Inc. will act as your event coordinator to assure all goes smoothly and timely. Our professional will meet with you to plan every detail for your reception.

In most cases, live entertainers are willing to make announcements when prompted, but they may not coordinate and take charge in the same way as your Joe Larson Productions, Inc. D.J. Without someone in this "leadership" position, a beautiful reception can quickly deteriorate into utter chaos, since you have a number of things to accomplish in a set amount of time. Remember, the photographer, caterer, even your new mother-in-law all have their own agenda in mind. If there is any question about the order of events, Joe Larson Productions, Inc. has a copy of your list.

You can expect your Joe Larson Productions, Inc. D.J. to offer the participation dances (very popular at receptions) such as the electric slide, cha cha slide, locomotion, chicken dance, and hokey pokey. If you require other types of specialty music, we will attempt to provide it. We will also play your own music, if supplied.

Variety of Music
If you're selective about your music types and styles, a disc jockey can supply a wide variety from big band, polka, oldies, beach music, hip hop, rock n roll, and the latest in top 40 hits, you get it all with Joe Larson Productions, Inc.

Weeks before the Big Day, we will guide you through the process of choosing your special songs for the reception. Through our integrated music software, you will select from thousands of songs in the Joe Larson Productions, Inc. library. If you’d rather just select different styles of music, we’ll take care of the specific songs. We are trained to read the likes and dislikes of your guests. “Live Bands” can be somewhat limited in their ability to play a variety. Although they may be excellent musicians, it's difficult for any band to specialize in music from five different decades. The first dance is an important part of most receptions and a live band may not be prepared to play the song of your choice. With Joe Larson Productions, Inc., you pick the song so it’s a guarantee.

Professionalism
Joe Larson, owner of Joe Larson Productions, Inc. has been in the radio entertainment industry for over 20 years and has entertained at hundreds of events. You will get exactly what you request. We will do everything possible to make your event memorable for you and your guests. It's important to feel comfortable with your entertainer. You should expect your disc jockey to work closely with you during the months preceding your Big Day. We will assist you in choosing music for the father-daughter, mother-son dance, and provide advice on how to organize a typical reception. A professional entertainer, including a disc jockey should be willing and eager to sign a contract. In addition, expect to pay a deposit to hold your date. Beware of a disc jockey that emphasizes his equipment, rather than his experience. An agreeable personality and entertainment experience play the biggest role, along with fair pricing and willingness to work with each client.
